Mr. Labrecque founded DNA Capital in 2009 and has over 30 years of corporate advisory and international M&A experience.
Prior to founding DNA Capital, he was Chief Executive Officer of Rothschild Canada and prior to that was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Lazard Canada. He has also held the position of Managing Director of Schroders Canada, where he was responsible for starting Schroders plc’s investment banking operations in this country. Earlier career postings include positions of increasing responsibility at National Bank Financial, Royal Bank of Canada, and Raymond Chabot Martin Paré. Mr. Labrecque holds a B.Comm. from HEC Montréal and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators. He is a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of INSEAD and is a Past President of the INSEAD International Alumni Association. He is a former Director of the CD Howe Institute and former Chairman of Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal. He is also actively involved with Centraide of Greater Montreal since 2004.
Mr. Michaud joined DNA Capital in 2012 with more than 30 years of investment banking and senior finance executive experience. Over the years, he both advised companies and executed as Chief Financial Officer on several M&A and financing transactions in a variety of sectors including industrials, manufacturing, healthcare, technology and media.
Prior to joining DNA Capital, he held the position of Chief Financial Officer at publicly traded C-Mac Industries, Neurochem, Kangaroo Media, and privately held Groupe Lagassé. Prior to that, he built a career in investment banking at Scotia Capital and TD Securities, where he rose to become Managing Director. Mr. Michaud holds a B.Eng. (civil) from McGill University and an MBA from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the Board of Directors of publicly traded healthcare company TSO3 and the Théatre du Nouveau Monde.
Mr. Castonguay joined DNA Capital in 2010 and has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, having advised clients on M&A and financing transactions in a variety of industries including media, technology, financial services, and consumer packaged goods. His particular field of expertise is in managing high-growth software companies.
Prior to joining DNA Capital, he held the position of Director at RBC Capital Markets, and prior to that was Director at Schroders Canada. In addition to his investment banking experience, Mr. Castonguay served as Chief Financial Officer of MindAvenue and N(i)2 Inc. Mr. Castonguay holds a B.Comm. from Université Laval and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Centennial Academy and the INSEAD Canadian Alumni Association.
Mr. Drummond joined DNA Capital in 2015 and has more than 25 years of investment banking experience, having advised clients on M&A and financing transactions in a variety of industries including consumer products, industrial, manufacturing, telecom, and forest products.
Prior to joining DNA Capital, he was Managing Director of M&A at Scotia Capital in both Montreal and Toronto, and prior to that was Vice President of the investment banking division at RBC Dominions Securities and its predecessor firm, McNeil Mantha. In addition to his investment banking experience, Mr. Drummond served as Chief Financial Officer of Revision Military, where he remains one of the initial shareholders and a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Drummond holds a B.B.A. from Western University. He is a Governor and member of the Board of Directors of Les amis de la montagne, as well as President of its annual fundraising campaign.
Mr. Labrecque cofounded DNA Capital in 2009 and has over 10 years of corporate advisory, operations, entrepreneurship, real estate, technology, tax, and audit experience.
Prior to cofounding DNA Capital, he worked in the tax and audit divisions at KPMG, and prior to that worked in trust accounting at National Bank Trust. Mr. Labrecque holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Bishop's University and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a CFA® charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (US).
Mr. Lampron joined DNA Capital in 2011 and has over five years of corporate advisory and M&A experience.
As one of the first members of the DNA Capital investment banking team, he has participated in various advisory mandates, including cross-border transactions, in a wide variety of industries, such as healthcare, media, technology, consumer goods, food, hotels, and industrial. Prior to joining DNA Capital, he worked in the corporate finance department of Desjardins General Insurance. Mr. Lampron holds a B.B.A. in Finance from HEC Montréal and has completed all three levels of the CFA® Program. While at HEC, he co-managed a four million-dollar portfolio for the Fonds Standard Life-HEC Montréal that won the award for best North American student fund three years in a row as part of the global RISE student investment forum.
Ms. Garabedian joined DNA Capital in 2017 and has more than 18 years of experience in accounting, audit, taxation and entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining DNA Capital, she was the sole proprietor of her public accounting practice and Vice President of EB Knowledge Centre where she continues to be a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors. Over the years, she has provided advisory services to public companies in the high technology industry as well as to owner-managed businesses specialized in software development, marketing, clinical research, financial services and education. She began her career at KMPG LLP where she rose to become a Senior Auditor and subsequently held positions at Provigo as a Senior Operations and Control Analyst in Internal Audit Services and Director of Finance of the Presto Banner. She developed a taxation training program and over the years has coached over 200 professionals in the insurance industry seeking to obtain an AMF Quebec Group Insurance of Persons license. Ms. Garabedian holds a B. Comm. & Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Concordia University and is a CPA Auditor, CA.
Mr. Skiloyannis joined DNA Capital in 2016.
Prior to joining DNA Capital, he worked in the M&A division at Rothschild Paris, where he was involved in the merger between Lafarge and Holcim, a transaction totaling more than 40 billion euros. Prior to that he worked in the private placement group at Credit Lyonnais. Mr. Skiloyannis holds an M.Sc. in Finance from HEC Montréal and an M.Sc. in Finance and Strategy from the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
Renata Nguerekata joined DNA Capital in 2017 and manages the office’s administrative activities and accounting functions. She has extensive experience in administrative support, bookkeeping, customer service and file management. She holds a degree in business administration.
Prior to joining DNA Capital, she held positions such as administrative coordinator in the Finance department at Facid Angola, then as administrative assistant for the Lexor damage insurance firm and then as Head of Sales Administration in the Corporate Law Department at LS Canada.
